APAC Eligible Countries

Good Day Organizers!

I'm a university student from the Philippines, and I'm interested to participate on HACK APAC. I saw the eligibility on the rules page stating that only certain countries are eligible to participate. I was wondering why does Philippines is not on the list? Since, Philippines is also part of the APAC region.

I hope my concerns would be addressed, and your response is highly appreciated.

    Hi Justine! Thank you for your message. Unfortunately our legal team advised us that we are not allowed to give cash prizes in the Philippines, that's why we didn't include it in the list of eligible countries. We apologise for the inconvenience, we would love to have all APAC countries included.
